At issue in this case is whether Michigan’s no-fault insurance act1 requires defendant, Auto-Owners Insurance Company, to pay the entire cost of a van modified to accommodate the plaintiffs wheelchair, including both the base price of the van and the separately introduced modifications. We conclude that defendant is only required to pay for the modifications because only the modifications are allowable expenses “for an injured person’s care, recovery, or rehabilitation” under MCL 500.3107(l)(a).
