This suit was instituted in the District Court of Bexar County by John R. Shook, Criminal District Attorney of Bexar County, against All Texas Racing Association, a corporation, and others, as defendants. The purpose of the suit was to obtain an injunction to restrain and enjoin the defendants from operating a pari mutuel system of betting on the result of dog races run on certain premises in Bexar County.
