Thurman Chennault, the claimant, was awarded compensation under the Workmen’s Compensation Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 48, par. 138.1 etseq.) by an arbitrator of the Industrial Commission for injuries he sustained while in the employ of Chicago Extruded Metals, the respondent. The award was affirmed by the Commission and confirmed by the circuit court of Cook County. The respondent has appealed under our Rule 302(a). 58 Ill. 2d R. 302(a).
