The plaintiff, Edward Anderton III, appeals from the decision of the workers’ compensation *346review board (board) reversing the determination by the workers’ compensation commissioner (commissioner) that the plaintiffs injury was compensable. On appeal, the plaintiff maintains that the board improperly determined that he was not injured in the course of his employment and was not entitled to workers’ compensation benefits when he sustained an injury while participating in a basketball game during working hours at the request of his employers.
