Defendant was charged with a violation of Vehicle Code, section 23105 1 in that he had driven a vehicle upon a highway while under the influence of narcotic drugs. The case was tried upon the transcript of the preliminary hearing. Defendant offered no evidence. He appeals from the judgment on the grounds that the evidence was insufficient to support the conviction and that certain admissions which he made to the police were admitted in evidence in violation of the rules of Escobedo v.
