VIOLETTE, Justice.

The defendant, Arol Dean Crocker, appeals from convictions of two counts of burglary, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 401(1), and two counts of theft, 17-A M.R.S.A. § 353(1), entered by the Superior Court, Piscataquis County, following a jury trial. In his appeal the defendant alleges that the trial judge erred in two rulings: first by excluding defendant’s testimony relating to his state of mind at the time of the incidents; second, by refusing to give a requested additional jury instruction on the definition of the term “structure” as it is used in the burglary statute.
