In the above captioned adversary complaint, the Plaintiff/Debtor, Laureen Reeves, seeks an order finding the Defendant, Columbia Gas of Ohio, in contempt for willfully violating the discharge injunction provided for in 11 U.S.C. § 524. In response, the Defendant raised the affirmative defense of “recoupment” which permits a defendant, under certain conditions, to reduce a plaintiffs claim to the extent that the defendant has been wronged by the plaintiff.
