Amica Nashawn Brisker was convicted of receiving stolen property in the first degree, a violation of § 13A-8-17, Ala. Code 1975, and of giving a false name to a law-enforcement officer, a violation of §13A-9-18.1, Ala. Code 1975. She was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment on the receiving-stolen-property charge and was ordered to pay court costs, a fine of $1,000, $250 to the Alabama Crime Victims Compensation Fund, and $500 to the State of Alabama as a partial payment of legal fees for her court-appointed counsel.
