We are concerned with two questions on this appeal: (1) Did one spouse have separate property in which the other had no possible interest? and, if so, (2) did the trial court abuse its discretion by including the value of that separate property in the amount subject to division between the spouses, under the facts of this particular case?

Rem. Rev. Stat., § 989 [P.P.C. § 23-23], gives the trial court in a divorce action wide latitude and broad discretionary powers in the disposition of the property of the parties, whether community or separate. Only a manifest abuse of that discretion…
