Commonwealth v. Jackson
Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court
1Opinion of the CourtHennessey, C.J.
On December 22, 1976, the defendant, Anthony J. Jackson, was convicted of murder in the first degree, kidnapping, rape, and unarmed robbery, and sentenced to life imprisonment at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Walpole on the murder conviction. He challenges his convictions on direct appeal and by means of a motion for a new trial. We conclude that the defendant’s claims lack merit, and, after reviewing the entire record as required by G. L. c. 278, § 33E, we conclude that the defendant is not entitled to relief on any other grounds. Accordingly, his convictions are affirmed.
