Sharon Michaels, the plaintiff, brought this action against the defendant Kroger Company as a result of a slip and fall at the defendant’s store on the evening of August 20, 1979. Ms. Michaels was familiar with the defendant’s store and proceeded directly to the area where the item she wanted was located. After she had turned into an aisle and made a few steps she fell.
