CERCONE, Judge:

This is a direct appeal from the judgment of sentence of January 6,1987. Appellant Leroy Tillman was sentenced to nine (9) to twenty-four (24) months imprisonment for simple assault.1 On this appeal Appellant argues that trial counsel was ineffective in failing to preserve for appeal errors made in the trial court’s instructions to the jury concerning: 1) the definition of bodily injury and 2) the requisite intent for simple assault.
