Maragaret McCathran sued in the District Court to recover damages for personal injuries suffered as a result of tripping over a protruding stopcock box which had been installed in the sidewalk parking space adjacent to premises at 4801 Georgia Avenue, N. W., in the District of Columbia; she named as defendants, the District of Columbia, the Sanitary Grocery Company, which occupies the premises, and appellees who own them.
