BRODY, District Judge.

Plaintiffs Richard Nelson and Edwin Jessi-man, professors at the University of Maine at Machias, sue the University of Maine System under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), 20 U.S.C. §§ 1681-1688. Plaintiffs base their claims on the University’s alleged retaliatory employment action. Nelson and Jessiman originally filed a five-count complaint against the University.
