CUMMINGS, Circuit Judge.

This appeal involves a suit filed against the United States under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) by a former member of the armed services. Jimmy Ray Rogers thought his service days were long past when he was arrested on a desertion charge and held for nearly two months awaiting trial by court-martial. He was acquitted of the desertion charge and then sued under the FTCA. Because the injuries alleged by Rogers and his wife, Linda Rogers, were the direct product of a military relationship we affirm the district court’s holding that the Feres doctrine, named for Feres…
