Lewis, J.:

The defendant appeals from his conviction of possession of cocaine. He argues that the State deprived him of the testimony of a witness on his behalf. We agree and reverse and remand.

The facts which led to the defendant’s arrest were testified to by a Wichita police officer. The officer testified that he was called to a night club in Wichita to investigate a tip concerning possible drug activity taking place in the parking lot.
