In Jacob v. Norris, McLaughlin & Marcus, 128 N.J. 10, 607 A.2d 142 (1992), we held that a law firm’s “Service Termination Agreement” that withheld termination compensation only from those firm members who within one year of termination represented clients of the firm or solicited employees of the firm to engage in law practice violated Rule 5.6 of the Rules of Professional Conduct (RPCS).
