Plaintiff Sharon Joann Tanner filed this civil action after her employer, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, acting through its Benefits Administrative Committee, terminated her long-term disability benefits. The Court has jurisdiction to hear this case under provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001 et seq., and particularly 29 U.S.C. § 1132(a)(1)(B).
