On August 2, igig, the Chicago Railways Company, the Chicago City Railway Company, the Calumet and South Chicago Railway Company and the Southern Street Railway Company, operating the street railway system in the city of Chicago under the designation of Chicago Surface Lines, filed a petition to the State Public Utilities Commission setting forth that at a meeting on July n, 1919, members of Division No. 241 of the' Amalgamated Association of Street and Electric Railway Employees of America, to which practically all of the trainmen and most of the other employees of the petitioners belonged,…
