^Defendant, Kevais Nelson, was convicted by a six person jury of possession of cocaine in violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967(C). After the denial of his Motion in Arrest of Judgment and Alternatively Motion for New Trial, he was sentenced to five years imprisonment at hard labor. Thereafter, pursuant to a multiple offender bill of information, defendant was adjudicated a third felony offender and he was sentenced as a triple felony offender to ten years imprisonment at hard labor, to run concurrently with any other sentence he was currently serving. 1 Defendant’s appeal…
