¶ 1 Appellant, James McCoy, appeals from the judgment of sentence dated April 27, 2005, in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County, following his conviction of carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a firearm on a public street, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. 1 In this case of first impression, we are asked to decide whether an individual commits the offense of discharging a firearm into an…
