McLAUGHLIN, District Judge.

Robert and Tracie Daddio bring this medical negligence action under Delaware law seeking damages for the death of their son, Michael Daddio. Michael died approximately twenty months after undergoing pediatric cardiac surgery to correct his congenital heart defects at the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children (the “duPont Hospital”) in Wilmington, Delaware. The defendants are the Nemours Foundation, which owns and operates the Nemours Cardiac Center at the duPont Hospital, and Dr. William I. Norwood, the pediatric heart surgeon who operated on Michael.
