Defendant is a private, nonprofit corporation established to provide legal services to indigent persons residing in the city of Detroit. Plaintiff is a labor organization representing attorneys employed by defendant. Apparently apart from or in addition to the information customarily exchanged within the parties’ bargaining relationship, plaintiff made a Freedom of Information Act (foia), MCL 15.231 et seq.-, MSA 4.1801(1) et seq., demand that defendant produce its detailed financial reports and data.
