Pro se petitioner Vernon Long (“Long”) filed a petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254 (“§ 2254”) challenging his conviction in-New York State Supreme Court, New York County (the “trial court”) of five counts of robbery in the first degree, in violation of New York Penal Law (“NYPL”) § 160.15(4), and one count of attempted robbery in the first degree, pursuant to NYPL §§ 110.00/160.15(4).
