SHRUM, Judge.

Defendant, Pete Petty, was convicted of assault in the second degree, in violation of § 565.060.1 Based on defendant’s pre-trial motion, the trial court ordered the defendant to undergo a mental examination by a court-appointed psychologist to determine his competency to stand trial. After a second examination by a psychologist of the defendant’s choosing and an evidentiary hearing on the issue, the trial court found the defendant competent and proceeded with trial.
