Plaintiff, on December 6, 1948, ordered a load of coal from defendant company to be delivered in the basement of his home. The same day defendant company’s truck, with two and one-half tons of coal aboard, driven by defendant Wissler, came to the home. Plaintiff, on being notified, undertook (either on his own initiative or' at defendants’ request) to direct the movement of the truck in backing up to the coal chute at the west side of the house. In the operation he was pushed back against the house and seriously injured.
