This disciplinary matter arises from formal charges filed by the Office of Disciplinary Counsel (“ODC”) against respondent, Joseph M. Bruno, an attorney licensed to practice law in Louisiana.

UNDERLYING FACTS

The underlying facts of this matter are not in dispute, having been stipulated to by the parties. In 1989, respondent was appointed one of eight members of the Plaintiffs’ Legal Committee (PLC) in the federal class action litigation arising out of an explosion at the Shell Oil Company refinery in Norco.
