Vann A. Jackson filed a motion to withdraw his guilty plea after being sentenced to life imprisonment for the malice murder of Lisa Watson. He contends that he was denied effective assistance of counsel due to a conflict of interest and that the trial court failed to determine whether his plea was freely and voluntarily entered and whether there was a factual basis for the plea.
