Thompson, Justice.

This is a death penalty case. William C. Sallie was convicted of malice murder and other crimes, and the jury recommended a death sentence. Because one of Sallie’s trial lawyers was laboring under a conflict of interest, we reverse the convictions and remand for a new trial.
