This is an application made on behalf of Ambrose E. Smith, under section 2471a of the Code of Civil Procedure, to obtain possession of the books and papers pertaining to the office of supervisor of the town of Camillus.

The facts, as appears by the papers, are as follows: On ^November 7, 1905, Sidney JL Cook was the Democratic candidate for the office of supervisor of the town of Camillus, and Ambrose E. Smith, the moving party herein, was the Republican candidate for such office. At said time Sidney PL Cook was the acting supervisor of the town of Camillus, "having been elected to said office…
