In January, 1922, the firm of Harris & Powell and the firm of Cook & Ar-rington were awarded certain road contracts in Palls county. The firms, with the consent of all parties at interest, apportioned the' work which each firm was to perform. In the payment of the funds as they became due on the respective estimates, a cheek payable to said two firms jointly would be issued by the county, and the funds would then be divided by them.
