HUNTER, District Judge.
This is a condemnation proceeding brought by the United States for the purpose of condemning 1040.30 acres of land for use in connection with the Lake Charles Air Force Base in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The condemned land belonged to Stanolind and was taken on July 1, 1955.
After a full and complete trial during which both sides had an opportunity to develop all relevant facts, the jury, after an obviously painstaking consideration of the evidence, returned their verdict and made their separate awards of just compensation to the defendant in respect to the several…
