After considering appellees’ motion for rehearing, we withdraw our opinion of May 25, 1999, and substitute the following opinion.
In this appeal appellant, Turbines, Inc. presents five issues challenging a judgment against it for claims arising out of an airplane crash. In response to a jury verdict, the trial court awarded Van Dardis (Dardis), the pilot of the plane, and his wife Danna Renee Dardis, $435,455 in actual damages and $500,000 in exemplary damages for their claims of negligence, gross negligence, and strict products liability.
