In an application .for a “certificate of identification” required of all alien enemies by Presidential Proclamation, Jan. 14, 1942, 3 CFR, Cum.Supp., Proc. 2537, under 50 U.S.C.A. § 21 et seq., and procured in accordance with detailed regulations of the Attorney General, Jan. 22, 1942, 28 CFR, Cum.Supp., 30.51-30.63, defendant answered “None” to the question, “Name the clubs, organizations, and societies of which you have been a member or with which you have been affiliated at any time during the past 5 years.” He now appeals from his conviction of violation of 18…
