delivered the opinion of the court:

Defendant, Clarence Brumfield, appeals from a judgment of the circuit court of Madison County entered on a jury verdict finding him guilty of two counts of rape. He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 30 to 60 years imprisonment. While defendant has made numerous assignments of error, our disposition of this case makes it necessary to consider only those questions concerning the trial court’s elimination of defendant’s defense of involuntary intoxication and other matters which may arise on a subsequent retrial of this…
