On November 24, 1924, the Bankers Life Company issued to Jacob Vande Stouwe a life insurance policy upon his life. The policy contained provisions for the payment of benefits in case he became totally and permanently disabled. On the 13th day of the following January he entered a sanitarium in Denver, Colorado. During the following April he made a claim against the company for disability benefits. In the claim for disability benefits he stated that his disability began January 1, 1925, some five weeks after the policy was issued. His disability was described as “Lungs — Respiratory”. In the…
