The defendant, Lewis Zorzy, was convicted of perjury following a jury trial in Superior Court (Mohl, J.). On appeal, he contends that his rights to due process and a fair trial were violated *712when, following a bail hearing prior to trial, the presiding judge failed to order an evidentiary hearing to determine whether he was competent to stand trial. We affirm.
