Appellant, appearing in propria persona, as he did in the trial court, having revoked his own request for counsel, appeals from a judgment after a jury verdict convicting him of the crime of violating section 476a of the Penal Code (issuing a cheek without sufficient funds with intent to defraud) and from the order denying his motion for a new trial. (An order denying a new trial in a criminal case is no longer appealable (Pen. Code, § 1237) but may be reviewed on appeal from the judgment (People v.
