This suit was commenced, by attachment in the Circuit Court for Columbia county, in the Suwannee Circuit.

The record shows that the affidavit was sworn to by J. J. Einley, the attorney for Elias Simpson & Charles Johnston, merchants and partners doing business in the city of New York, under the name and style of E. Simpson & Co., and filed on the 1st day of February, 1867. On the same day the attachment bond was filed, signed by the said J. J. Finley, R. T. Gist and A. A.
