If the evidence introduced by the plaintiff was believed, the jury were warranted in finding that Charles E. Pye, the plaintiff’s assignor, was employed for the term of one year at a salary of $3,600, as marine superintendent of the company’s business of transportation, and that after he had rendered services *456for a little more than three months the board of directors voted to discharge him and to abolish the office.
