Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Chemung County (Buckley, J.), rendered August 5, 2002, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of sodomy in the second degree.

Defendant pleaded guilty to sodomy in the second degree in *609satisfaction of a 10-count indictment charging him with various sex crimes as well as endangering the welfare of a child. He was sentenced in accordance with the plea agreement to 2 to 6 years in prison. On appeal, he contends that his guilty plea was not knowing, voluntary or intelligent and that the sentence imposed was harsh and excessive.
