The State appeals the Shawnee District Court’s dismissal of the charge of driving while license suspended, in violation of K.S.A. 1998 Supp. 8-262(a). This appeal involves five cases from Shawnee County docketed as State v. Victor L. Bowie, No. 82,929; State v. Rey O. Martinez, No. 83,048; State v. Garth B. Ortiz, No. 83,049; State v. Woodie C. Morgan, Jr., No. 83,114; and State v. Victor L. Bowie, No. 83,115. This court ordered the cases consolidated for determination under case No. 82,929. We have jurisdiction pursuant to K.S.A. 1999…
