A petition was presented to the Judge of the Circuit Court for Duval county alleging that on Sunday, November 20,1904, one John Hanley was tried in the Criminal Court of Record of Duval county, Florida, upon an information charging him with the commission of an aggravated assault upon one Bupert M. Ammons on August 29th, 1904, and was found guilty of assault and ■battery, and on November 25th, 1904, he was sentenced to be imprisoned in. the county jail of said county at hard labor for the period of six months and to pay a fine of ?250.00, and in default of payment of said fine to be further…
