MEMORANDUM OPINION

(December 10, 2008)

Before the Court is the motion of the defendant, Glen Lewis a/k/a Glenndon Lewis (“Lewis”), to suppress statements and physical evidence.

I. FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND

On the night of July 17, 2008, Virgin Islands Police Department (“VIPD”) officers were conducting car safety inspections in Cruz Bay, St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands.
