DThe Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Clarence L. Clement, with two counts of third offense driving while intoxicated (DWI) in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:98 D. Defendant was arraigned and pled not guilty. The trial court denied defendant’s motion to quash. He was tried on count two by a jury which found him guilty as charged. 1 Defendant filed a motion for post-verdict judgment of acquittal or motion for new trial that was denied.
