The plaintiff, Yolanda Young, initiated this action against the defendant, Covington & Burling LLP (“Covington”), alleging race discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e-3(a), 16(a) (2006) (“Title VII”), and the District of Columbia Human Rights Act, D.C. Code §§ 2-1401.01, 2-1402.11(a)(1), 2-1402.61(a)-(b) (2006).
