Appeal from a judgment of the Supreme Court (Lawliss, J.), rendered June 13, 2011 in Clinton County, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crime of criminal contempt in the second degree.

Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of the misdemeanor of criminal contempt in the second degree for his alleged intentional violation, in February 2011, of a two-year order of protection that had been issued under CPL 530.13 in October 2010.
