Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (McDonald, J), rendered May 3, 2002, convicting him of criminal contempt in the first degree (five counts), assault in the third degree (two counts), criminal *499mischief in the fourth degree, and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is modified, on the law and as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice, by reducing the defendant’s conviction of criminal contempt in the first degree in violation of Penal Law § 215.51 (c)…
