Hunstein, Justice.

After a jury trial, Eric Shorter was found guilty of malice murder, aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the malice murder conviction and fifteen and five-year consecutive terms of imprisonment respectively for the aggravated assault and firearm possession charges. The trial court denied Shorter’s motion for new trial, and he appeals.
