Plaintiff Genesys Software Systems sued Defendants Ceridian, iHouse, iHouse’s president William Snyder, and David Fischer, alleging copyright infringement, among other claims. The district court granted summary judgment to Defendants. Significantly, Plaintiff had released its claims in a previous settlement agreement (“the Settlement Agreement”) with a third party, Lands’ End, as to acts of Lands’ End’s agents.
